If had to choose my favorite subject to shoot, food would definately be up there. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting The Commons seasonal Menu. They pride themselves on an ever evolving menu. One day may come and the Baked Hapuka you had last week may have been replaced by the Hay baked Pork Belly this week. Which in my opinion is how it should be. Keep the favorites and mix up the rest.
Luckily I got to shoot on a Sunday which meant that they were serving a special Sunday roast from Midday. Your choice from a selection of the most tender roasts I’ve ever tasted with all the crispy, crunchy and fresh trimmings all for $27. Or you can just choose from the sharing menu. Charcuterie Board: country pork pate, steak tartare, smoked lamb ham & accompaniments $35 then head on to the Scallops charred, mandarin dressing, sorrel, horseradish & pickled fennel $18.
I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves. If you’re hungry after looking at this post I’ve done my job. Book now www.thecommons.co.nz
