Triumph or Disaster

I’ve spoken about skincare before but never about a product specifically designed for us guys. Triumph and Disaster reins from New Zealand, They use indigenous ingredients such as Horopito oil and Ponga extract (Cumungii leaf) blended with scientifically proven and active natural ingredients from around the globe, such as clays from Australia, Jojoba extract from Mexico and Tamanu oil from Polynesia.

T&D is the brainchild of international cricket legend Dion Nash, an avid guitarist, a band member and now a cosmetic chemist. You can definitely see how he’s melded the three components together. An understanding of skin and skincare from years under the sun cricketing combined with killer packaging & marketing. You can clearly identify the music influences in the aesthetics and in the events he occasionally puts on. Dion is a great fan of Kedecc and I and we’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple of his shindigs. Away goes the swanky decor and champagne and is replaced by a moody night usually at Monte Cristo filled with live jazz and funk acts, hearty food and his closest friends.

The product itself is genuinely good, my shower has been filled with his Shampoo & conditioner, face cleanser and scrub for the last year. Everything’s black. You can taste the clay when you accidently get the scrub in your mouth, which is a good thing. Kedecc and I both swear that these products are some of the best we’ve tried.

The products range from about $15 to $70 nzd so relatively inexpensive considering how good they are and how good they look. Available Worldwide. Just check the stockists www.triumphanddisaster.com
